We have finished the infrastructure upgrade without any noticable issues. We had to replace a few faulty cables that caused intermediate latency spikes and some alert noise from our monitoring but without further impact.

We are going to perform an extensive upgrade of our network infrastructure. We will completely replace all network devices in our data center. The process will be performed over three days with preparatory work starting on Friday and the bulk of the actual changes performed on Saturday. Sunday is kept for remainder work, cleanup and adjusting any issues arising during the maintenance.
The procedure has been prepared to be a step-by-step procedure without downtime: we will evacuate VM hosts and storages gracefully before moving them to the new infrastructure and the new infrastructure will be able to communicate fully with the old environment.
This upgrade paves the way for further improvements with even higher availablitly and advanced virtual networking in the future. We are also reducing the amount of closed-source based components by switching to an open-source based network operating system.
Our support will be available the whole time and we will be monitoring your applications closely for any adverse effects.
