We're following up on our recent data center expansion and will upgrade a number of switches to establish our 80GB backbone and make progress on moving to a single vendor switching platform.
On Friday we will add new core switches, replace remaining HP ProCurves, and replace our 24 port 10G switches with 48 port models.
Setting up the infrastructure will be a hitless upgrade but we will need to rewire a number of ports which will cause short periods of packet loss (
We will perform another network maintenance either in July or August to wrap up our network upgrade – pending the arrival of the remaining components from our vendor.
